Our Message to Congress: REPEAL THE PORK, CUT TAXES
Repeal all your irresponsibile spending bills. Repeal every single one of them:
The Mortgage Bailout
The $1 Trillion Pork-Laden Stimulus
The Auto Bailout
The Wall Street Bailout
We're done with your "Do as I Say Not as I Do" arrogance. You pretend to oppose earmarks, then stuff Porkulus with them. You pretend to be transparent, then hide your pork earmarks and force a vote on a 1400 page bill no one has been allowed to read. You pretend to be for fiscal responsibility, and then pass the most fiscally irresponsible bill in American history.
So we'll give you our message again, loudly and clearly: REPEAL THE PORK, CUT TAXES
Talking Points
The Obama Economic Plan to borrow unprecedented amounts of money we don’t have in order to spend our money on political spoils projects we mostly don’t need is both morally and fiscally disastrous. It is the largest giveaway in American History. $1 Trillion for the stimulus is only the beginning of these big spending ways. Even the Congressional Budget Office says that the "Stimulus" Bill Congress passed and President Obama signed will create few jobs in 2009 and 2010, but will instead cause dangerously high levels of inflation as the Federal Government lets the Treasury printing presses run indiscriminately.
There’s one proven way to create jobs: cut income taxes and cut wasteful spending
on projects that are beyond the scope of the proper role of government. Republicans and Democrats alike have spent too much money in the past few years on special interests.
7 per cent of all mortgages are not current. Why should the 93% of homeowners who have been responsible and paid their mortgages bail out the 7 %, many of whom have been irresponsible?
We’ve borrowed $1 trillion we don’t have, and it will be paid for by our children and grandchildren, in the form of lost opportunities arising from the inflation and debt load they will be burdened with due to our own profligacy.
Congress passes bills they don't read every day. That's bad enough; but to pass the largest spending bill in the history of the world without reading it is criminal."
Congress and the President must repeal all
(of these stupid) spending bills and budget. The overwhelming
majority of the money has not been spent. And of that money, the
overwhelming majority of the money is and will not be spent on
actually fixing any of our economic woes. Instead, they are paying
off their Democrat political debts.
Congress is tripping over themselves vilifying AIG for their irresponsible
spending, yet when it comes to irresponsible spending, they wrote
the book on it ---> it's a 1100pg piece called 'the Stimulus Bill.'
Though from what I hear, no one has read it."
$1,000,000,000,000
(trillion) = $3,300/person Today, current spending bills and budgets
total $1 Trillion PER YEAR for the next 10 years. That's $33,000 for each
man, woman, and child in America.
Government foisted Fannie Mae and
Freddie Mac onto the national credit market. Government pressured
the nation’s banking system into lending to unqualified borrowers
with the Community Reinvestment Act. Government asked for, lied
about, and then wasted $350,000,000,000.00 billion for the Troubled
Asset Relief Program (TARP). Government uses taxpayer funds to bail
out the perpetrators of the Wall Street meltdown. Government led our
financial industry to make these reckless loans. Government
rewarding irresponsible individuals with taxpayer money to ‘bail
out’ their homes they cannot afford. .... ALL THE WHILE, Government
demands we foot the bill.
